Amy Greenfield has received notification from YouTube that their works, which contain artistic nudes, YouTubes did not meet "community standards". As part of YouTube policies, film and television can contain nudity [], however, the videos of YouTube's user community must comply with EU directives and YouTube are not entitled to this content. The guidelines are intended to allow nudity with educational content, documentaries and science, but only if the sole purpose of that video is not free of graphics, but does not recognize the value of nudity in art.


When artists present video works that have artistic merit of course, political or educational, YouTube should allow the artist to publish material with at least the same freedom as major studio movies and television. If a user community is inadequate video, YouTube should at least have an appeal process for an artist to explain the artistic value. While understanding the desire to YouTube, which aims to keep pornography out of their servers, but also must understand that not all art is pornography naked.
