Nobody Will Mess With You Unless It Rains (PIC)

I believe the police acted like children on Sunday, basically I am going to attack them before they attack me.Further I believe two things will come out of this:1.People will and have lost respect for our police forces2.I would be surprised if someone does not launch a class action law suit.I am sorry to hear about your CTV partners that got caught in this,Anyway this is my 2 cents.Take careSeanOshawa, Ontario. SeanHi Ken/Christine,I have to say the Police used bronze versus brains during the G20. Although what people of Toronto and visitors treated them badly on Saturday, and in my opinion is despicable.

We and I mean we were made very aware that the police would and did have the right to do this.those of you who chose to go there made a concious decision to take that chance. JanWe were all concerned about the money being spent on the security for this summit, obviously that money had to be spent. After Saturday’s debaucle, the police acted appropriately. By the way those people seen running from the scene laughing at the mayhem on Saturday.will they think it’s funny when their taxes go up?. If innocent people were held or detained the responsibility rests with themselves. My husband said.”Somebody’s going to get hurt”.and thankfully there was not that many injuries but some people were hurt including police officers.

Brian McGoveranThe Police were too lenient on all of the people that decided to disobey the order to leave! The CTV people that got caught up in this mess should be sent to get their hearing checked, leave means LEAVE! They chose to stay so they should be swept up with the rest of those idiots! So they had credentials, so what? the Black Bloc could have copied them, who knows? I am not surprised that the majority of the people involved in that mess were probably between the ages of 18 & 30, with all of the militant school teachers we have now (Public, Secondary, College and University) it is no wonder we have problems with this age group.Fine every one of the people that are in custody at least $500.00, they pay or go to jail!.

Hats off to Chief Bill Blair and a tremendous group of men and women who put their lives on the line each and every day to protect the people of Toronto and and every city and area in Canada. MaryI feel that our police force demonstrated tremendous restraint and control in handling very frustrating situations this past weekend. I am sorry that peaceful demonstrators and reporters got caught up in all of this but what did the folks who just wanted to be “part of the action” think was going to happen? The police were going to be able to pick and choose who they were going to arrest? I realize that reporters are only doing their job but they are not above the law. Had it not been for the clear thinking and the tactics used by the police, the events could have become even more volatile. I agree with peaceful protest but as a Canadian I am so thankful and proud that we have a police force who will not allow thugs, gangs and criminals to take over “our streets” and “our city” and instill fear and terror in the hearts of Canadians. It would not matter what type of identification they were wearing. Our Prime Minister should be able to ask dignitaries from around the world to visit any city in Canada without fear. Sorry guys but I have to side with the police. It is my understanding that reporters were advised before the Summit began that if asked by police to leave an area they were to do so or they could be arrested.

Keep them in jail and throw the key away, your parents /family must be real proud of you. These hoodlums who did not expose their faces are cowards. My thanks to all police for a job well done. I dont think I would have had the restraint the police showed under the circumstances. PatNot tough enough. These are adults who have the brains of a 3 year old. It is downright deplorable. These werent protestors they were terrorists and should be treated as such. They should also be made pay for the damaged cruisers and businesses, if not they will continue to be violent. Can you imagine if the city had not taken the appropriate steps for chaos like this. They did not manage to do what they went out to do which was get into the fenced area, and their ploys to distract police didnt work.

If the police hadn’t been in Toronto and all of this set-up that harper put in place we would not have had anywhere near the problems. 2) why were the police so violent with protesters? I saw several cases where people simply sitting down watching the scene attacked by police and dragged by their legs, faces on the ground! A bit over the top. StephI was mortified by the behaviour of our police force over this past weekend. 3) it is a known fact that police infiltrate organizations like the ‘Black Bloc’ in order to aggravate situations and to justify their being present. Perhaps people noted that there were officers dressed in normal street wear that separated themselves from the protestors and started using batons on the surrounding people. Has anyone asked the questions: 1) what were the police cars doing at various locations throughout the downtown core? Funny that none of the cars blew up, guess they didn’t have much gas. 4) finally the news reporting from CP 24 and CTV was really over the top. These were decoys to keep people from moving towards the hot zone. Also street reporting was manic. i know harper doesn’t like toronto, and hopefully in the next election people will actually see what a dictator he is.

I just hope you get into trouble sometime and need a cop to help you out. Just think about this!. BrianThis is for Don. That is pretty brave talk that the "cops would have run with their sticks between their legs" no doubt you are one of the "brave" idiots that ran with the pack of thugs that did all the damage. I am sure you will get help even though you do not deserve it. Hopefully the cops have your name and address, maybe they will help you and maybe they won’t.
