At the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC), which opened on Monday in Washington, DC, an industry executive has acknowledged that 74% of business PCs are running XP. Although Microsoft said it made the change to simplify the task of monitoring the licensing rights to the PC, the continuing popularity of Windows XP may have had something to do with it.
