Its great pleasure for me to see a meme like this and seems to gain speed in a lot of thought and discussion points. If you are interested in this problem, I have three articles in the last 24 hours, I invite you to read. The same has happened in many places today. Regular readers of this blog know that I was the president of the National Center for Women and Information Technology for a number of years and very involved in this issue.
We start with a high-level discussion in this article from the San Jose Mercury News titled "The article makes a nice framingthe Working out and the last paragraph refers to the idea of no women entrepreneurs THATthe has something to do with technology has been called the bigotry of low expectations. A similar concept is that parents of young girls (secondary and secondary) to prevent (or promote) to explore the girls team.
Next is a law blog Eric Ries rubber. In reading the comments, I think is interesting to see how loaded the word "diversity" as some commentators seem to confuse diversity with an equal number of each type or class of building political correctness misleading. Eric also includes a brief presentation by Terri Oda on how terrible biology (not) to explain the low number of women in computer science. Eric deals with a lot of concepts about diversity, with special attention to gender diversity (although many of these constructions are applicable to their ethnicity and race.) Comments on this post contains some improvements and further discussion.
